Eames Book Project
EDITORIAL DESIGN
OCTOBER 2021

Charles and Ray Eames are best known for their foundational and prolific contributions to modern design. This publication celebrates the breadth of their work, whilst also focusing specifically on Case Study House No. 8.

The visual language of the book follows the ethos on which the house itself was built: a structure designed to integrate into the Northern Californian landscape, allowing for light, airflow, and continuity with the surrounding meadow. It was envisioned as a place “where work, play, life, and nature coexisted.”

Grounded in earth tones and ample negative space, the publication mirrors this balanced ecosystem—giving the content room to breathe while introducing a measured sense of playfulness, academia, and artistry.

The book includes a smaller insert discussing some of their lesser-known films and photography.
