A showcase of Jack Pierson’s most prevalent word-piece sculptures from the past decade, the art book Aeternitas was designed for Pierson’s exhibition at Museo Ettore Fico, opening Turin Art Week 2021.
Capturing Pierson’s prolific exploration of the power of words, the book was conceived as a catalogue of over one hundred works, creating space for close observation of the emotional evolution that unfolds across the body of work. Conveying a sense of found object art with a spaciousness and meditative quality, Aeternitas uses the book cover to draw attention to the letters themselves. Their impact is embraced as they form the full alphabet, revealed when the sleeve and cover are pulled apart.
